Banana Boat Rides During a Destin Vacation

It’s no secret that Destin is full of things to do. You can go fishing, or hit the beach. You can also do some shopping or eat at one of the great restaurants.

If you want to step outside of the box a little bit, you can go on a banana boat ride during your Destin vacation. These rides are a great way to get the adrenaline pumping during your vacation.

Banana Boats 101

If you’re new to the world of banana boat rides, you might not know the first thing about them.  These boats are two banana shaped floats that are attached to one another. The banana boat doesn’t have an engine. Instead, it is pulled by a speed boat. The speed boats can really take off, meaning you can expect to ride the waves when you ride one of these boats. Depending on the driver, it can get pretty thrilling when you are riding banana boats.

Because you can go pretty fast, you can expect to get wet when you ride a banana boat. Consider wearing a bathing suit when you ride a boat during your Destin vacation. Also, bring a towel with you so you can towel off when you finish up on the boat.

You should also bring some sunscreen with you. That will keep you from getting burned when you are out on the boat.

What if You Don’t Want to Go Fast?

While some people love the idea of taking off as fast as they can, others don’t like to go fast. Talk to the driver if you don’t want to go fast. He will slow it down for you.
